NEW GRAND CHALLENGE FOR DEVELOPMENT: On November 18, USAID, World Vision & AusAID launched All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development, a multi-year initiative whose mission is to improve early grade reading outcomes in low resource settings.

The Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) program, a joint initiative with the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support developing country researchers who partner with NSF-funded American researchers, were accepted through November 30th 2011.  For more information click here.

USAID is expanding upon its long tradition of engagement with universities, colleges, research institutes, and other institutes of higher education. We hope that this website - the first step in this effort - will serve as a centralized resource for students, faculty, and administration interested in engaging in the field of international development.
